Any compost producer who supplies compost for use in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland as a ‘product’ must demonstrate compliance with the Compost Quality Protocol. The CQP sets out the end of waste criteria for the production and use of quality outputs from composting of source-segregated biodegradable waste.
